Taj Of Khandesh-Hanging Towers of Ferkande

A 250 years old beutiful monument. Taj-Mahal of Khandesh. One of the 2 towers collapsed in 1991. The second one is on way to vanish too. The place once very famous tourist destination has become a place of antisocial time pass activities. The local villagers cant help expressing dissatisfaction over the bad state of the hanging towers, and blame the politicians and the administrators for the situation.Lets raise the voice with Samyak Foundation for the Hanging Towers at all levels. Let us also join hands with Samyak to help save the towers if government doesnt take interest in saving the 'Taj' of Khandesh.

Why not consider some fund raising? If history is know then good story can be made (i.e a small documentary) which can be shown to some local and state channels. I can help with this and would love the opportunity too. This will certainly create an awareness. If need further guidance then let me know I will provide some further suggestions or help.I am very much interested in historical places. I have good connections in media (news channels in India)

Thank you so much for your comments and offer of help BHaru. I was waiting for local elections to get over. People from both sides need to come together to make a breakthrough in the present situation. Once the differences are ressolved, the action will be needed to correct/minimize the damage to the structure. I will definitely inform you when such time for fund raising and campaigninng comes.
Thanks.

Hi Tejas,
Yes, it's a village near to Erandol. You can reach there by following as Jalgaon > Erandol > Kasoda > Ferkande. It's nearabout 12 to 14 KMs from Erandol.

hi bharu, are you still interested in Hanging Towers of Ferkande matter? I have received very cold response from ministry and ASI. So thinking of local action by mobilizing people and groups.
Thanks
Sangram.

Thanks to the district collector, who has agreed recently to initiate repair works for the Ferkande Towers.
